Are tires filled with Tyrfil profitable?
Yes... Tyrfil significantly reduces additional costs for repair, change, labor, overtime, production stops and maintenance in companies frequently experiencing tire explosions and cuts. For companies frequently experiencing these kinds of problems, the use of Tyrfil can lead to considerable saving amounts.
Where can Tyrfil be used?
Tyrfil can be used on Waste disposal plants, junkyards, iron and steel plants, ports, warehouses, loading areas, mines and quarries, farms, oil refineries, asphalt distribution and disposal equipments, airports, foundries, construction areas, stone quarries, street-cleaning and transport vehicles, military vehicles, security vehicles and every kind of vehicles and equipment that need to be puncture-proof. Tires of Army and Air Force Vehicles and Helicopter filled with Tyrfil® are resistant to bullets and shrapnell and will never go flat. Roughly speaking, the more difficult the working conditions, the more Tyrfil® is needed in that work environment.
Why is the use of a tire filled with Tyrfil® more advantageous than the use of a tire filled with air only?
When using Tyrfil, the operator comfort increases due to higher elasticity, a better traction resulting from more pressing power exists, the equipment speed is no longer limited to 15 mph (24 km/h) and the equipment gets less damaged due to decreasing vibration and enhanced energy efficiency.
Do the dimensions of a tire filled with Tyrfil change?
No, the dimensions do not change and you do not have to make any changes concerning your equipment.
Does the inside pressure of a tire filled with Tyrfil change?
No. The only thing you have to do is to fill the tires in accordance to the amounts recommended by your retailer which is usually 70% of the working pressure. As soon as you have filled your tire with Tyrfil®, you will never have to check tire pressure again since it will constantly stay at the same level.
Which tire brands can be filled with Tyrfil ?
All intact pneumatic tires meeting the specifications of its manufacturer can be filled with Tyrfil.
Is it possible to recap tires filled with Tyrfil ?
Yes. If the tires are in good condition, they can usually be recapped by using the “pre-core recapping“method.
Does Tyrfil flow out if the tire is damaged or explodes?
No. Due to the fact that Tyrfil® turns into a soft and elastic elastomer after being injected into the tire, it will not flow out even if the tire is damaged or explodes. However, large cuts occurring during operation (usually cuts being larger than 15 cm) may uncover Tyrfil and cause minimal exfoliation and should therefore be fixed as soon as possible.
Is it possible to use a combination of tires filled with Tyrfil and tires filled with air on the same vehicle ?
Yes, but in this case, Tyrfil® can no longer serve its real purpose. Please keep in mind that Tyrfil® has especially been designed for businesses that want to prevent tire explosions without missing the comfort of pneumatic tires.
Is it a problem that tires filled with Tyrfil are heavier than tires filled with air?
No. Quite the contrary, in case of loaders, tractors and similar equipment requiring traction and stability, extra weight is an advantage. Anyway, Tyrfil® weighs just as much as water!
What is the difference between tires filled with foam and tires filled with Tyrfil ?
Tyrfil is an imperforated urethane elastomer providing a better heat distribution than foam. Due to the fact that foam consists of many dispersed air bubbles, foam is a natural insulator and unable to provide efficient heat distribution. On the contrary, Tyrfil® operates at a lower temperature, cools the tires and provides optimal heat distribution.
Is there a difference concerning the efficiency loss of tires filled with foam or air compared to tires filled with Tyrfil ?
Various studies and tests have shown that tires filled with Tyrfil® have 50% less efficiency loss than tires filled with foam and equal efficiency loss compared to tires filled with air. In other words, vehicles working with an accumulator or fuel need less energy to do the same job. For evidence, please refer to the “Synair Power Loss Histogram”.
Can Tryfil be used under bad weather conditions ?
Yes. Tires filled with Tyrfil® are fully operational in all weather conditions.
Can the rims and snap rings of tires filled with Tyrfil be re-used?
Yes. If the tire is worn-out, cut or damaged to such an extent that it can not be recapped, the rims can still be re-used. After the filling process with Tyrfil® is completed, you should control the wear rate to determine to which degree recapping is possible.
